Statue of Mahatma Gandhi, Parliament Square[edit]

Created by Ham II (talk), Miyagawa (talk). Nominated by Miyagawa (talk) at 20:27, 15 March 2015 (UTC).

  • @Miyagawa:@Ham II: Might I suggest an alternative hook that would perhaps tie in more closely with one of the statue's neighbours on Parliament Square and would, I think, be more April Foolish? (The description below was, of course, Churchill's famous comment on Gandhi.) Prioryman (talk) 16:45, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that a half-naked fakir has taken up residence near Winston Churchill?
  • Much better than the original. Those who know (and I am one of them) would know and those who don't would click as they'd be interested to find out more about this fakir. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 15:41, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
  • Of course, it might help if the article actually mentioned this (my bad). I've added a para to fill the gap retrospectively... Prioryman (talk) 17:46, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
