Talkh Ab Rural District (Persian: دهستان تلخ اب) is in Khenejin District of Farahan County, Markazi province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Talkh Ab.[4]

After the 2006 National Census, Khenejin Rural District was separated from Komijan County and the former Farahan District was separated from Tafresh County in the establishment of Farahan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Farmahin as its capital.[3]

At the census of 2011, Talkh Ab Rural District's population was 7,027 in 2,049 households.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 6,684 in 2,134 households. The most populous of its 11 villages was Talkh Ab (now a city),[4] with 3,442 people.[2]
