You Got it all Wrong

In This Wiki, Pop's is said to be first showed in The episode "dizzy" im a huge regular show fan and i know that Pop's has been show ever since the Pilot episode. Raccoon or coati?

High Five Ghost

I just looked at the page and I saw that Jeff Bennett was voicing High Five Ghost. But at the end credits I saw that J.G. Quintel was voicing him. Some one should fix this. Margaret's Species

I was wondering, why Margaret is called a cardinal (bird)? Her biography on the official Cartoon Network websites states she is a red-breasted robin. Trivia section?

I added a trivia section so we can add little tid bits like Mordecai and Rigby's video game system is in fact a SEGA Master System. (the oblong shape, the controllers, the close up in "Rage against the TV" shows the NTSC version from the front.)

• No. Wikipedia articles aren't supposed to have trivia sections. Your content was blatant WP:OR and would inherently be unless J.G. Quintel actually came out and said "yes, they're playing a Sega Master System". Even then, it might be of dubious relevance. Mordecai & Rigby's Age

How do we know that Mordecai and Rigby are 23 years old? The best evidence I have is in the beginning of the High Score episode:

Edit Request - High Five Ghost's Description is wrong!

Whomever edited his description is wrong, that person claims that High Five Ghost could not talk in the first episodes because he was jinxed all that time and that in the episode where Rigby was jinxed, Rigby unjixes High Five Ghost and since then he can talk. That is wrong, it is all wrong. High Five Ghost has always being able to speak, even before the JINX episode, he just doesnt talk very much, usually he doesnt say more than a couple of words BUT the jinx episode has nothing to do with High Five Ghost not speaking very much, even after the Jinx episode he talks the exact same amount as always. Right there in your response you said that it says season 2, episode 25 which is not season 3. Furthermore on List of Regular Show episodes it shows that the episode "First Day" is also in Season 2, so there is still no date that I see for the Season 3 premier. Death is based partly on Lemmy Kilmister

Someone correct me if I am wrong but Death appears to be directly based on Lemmy Kilmister, the lead vocalist of Motorhead. The "hair", moles to the left of his mouth and gruff English accent are a dead on impression of Lemmy. Controversies

Party Pete scene omission

LGBT interest media outlets questioned CN's decision to cut a scene in the Australian airing of the episode Party Pete where there is adult dancing in one part such as where Party Pete dry-humps 3 women, as well as a close up of one of his women's breasts. CN refused to comment on the incident. Quintel issued the following statement to The Guardian, on his interview: "It ( the dry hump and dancing) was unscripted, and the plan was to have it like a party teens would like, so this is what happened: Party Pete was throwing everyone a really crazy party that everyone was into, much to the dismay of the Australian airing, and also when Party Peter (sic) was shaking his posterior and The two of his floozies were shaking their butts around Pops, and by the time that came, the party would reach the cliffhanger."

Oddly enough in Adventure Time, another Regular Show related series, they cut off sexual related terms such as 'sexy', 'make-out', and 'kissing' and 'sucks' in particular as the censors considered any mention of sex, relationship or cussing mildly not safe for a cartoon.

TV advertisement

In early 2011 Quintel threatened legal action against the law firm Mo's Money For Taxes, based in Flint, Michigan for running an ad he saw offendingly parodied his work, which featured a man dressed up as a blue jay (Joe Cuper) Named "Mo'Mordecai". Criticism

Criticism of the work of Regular Show focuses mainly on a perception it has some scenes that aren't like a prime time comedy series on a non-cable network.

Despite praising Quintel before he did Regular Show in 2009, creator and actor at Cartoon Network Thurop Van Orman criticized his work while being interviewed by Jeremy Reidel-Angeline on The Guardian in 2010,the weekly entertainment news magazine and interview show where he equated the old time cartoons from the 2000s and further stated that if a creator of a show on Cartoon Network would make a show depicting people in this manner, it'd be cut due to Standards and Practices, saying "Each creator of a critically acclaimed show is allowed to do what they'd like, there aren't any dictators there. You're free for what you'd like. But I see a lot of stuff that is 'coonery' and buffoonery. I know its scoring many records and having 2.5 million fans a week, but we can do better... Every day I see ads for these 2 shows (Adventure Time and Regular Show) and I am scratching my head... We got a black president Obama and with this edgy scenes in the way when it was better before CN in 2010, we going back to South Park and Mantan Moreland?" When he cited Quintel's success among kid audiences and asking if he wasn't giving CN what they wanted he responded "We've had this discussion back and forth. When Seth MacFarlane created his shows where he had FCC-busting rules for humor, people and kids came to see Family Guy, but when he did American Dad!, nobody showed up. So a lot of this is on us. You vote with your pocketbook, your wallet, you vote by spending your time at the idiot box And this man has got a giant audience, He's very smart. We shouldn't think he's going to make the same thing I'll make or my cousin Joey. With this happening, it makes giant troubling and it hardens back to the Simpsons."Thiscriticism of him was cited and expanded upon by the author Tom Burrell in his 2010 book Brainwashed: Challenging the Myth of Cartoon Inferiority. He cited this as an example of when "we kids pull the trigger for our own image assassination." Burrell also stated, "...it's not entirely fair to expect JG to chart a new course alone. His and TV series would not be so successful if kids didn't have a raging appetite for messages and images that project us as dysfunctional or incompetent. Nothing that occurred during Amos 'n' Andy’s radio and television reign could match the words and actions of comedies like Camp Lazlo and Regular Show. Our attraction to self-demeaning images came way before, and goes far beyond, JG Quintel."] Burrell called for new images of blacks in entertainment and a new vision of kid self-image.

Quintel, Mordecai and Rigby were satirized in a 2010 episode "The Billyshank Redemption", of Wyatt Earp: Dying Harder; the LA Times called this episode one of the most sharpest criticisms of Quintel.

In March 2011 actor William Salyers caused controversy when he criticized him. Salyers, who had been in Judging Amy, a CBS show he was in, lamented the trend of animated CN shows like this one, a phenomenon previously seen in the shows Eddy and Rick and Switched: Reloaded, describing it as buffoonish, saying "Imagine a film like The Blind Side like this.. Do you think it'd be successful? That's what we have to change."

And on June 11, 2012 Quintel was satirized by two pints of lager and a cup of good intentions In the episode"And The Replacements". In one part at the Harlem Elementary PS 23 Comedy Awards Quintel received the Adam Sandler Award, given to the celebrity most likely to show up". Following that Quintel annoyingly remained in the show dressed up as Mordecai, cracking wise and uttering non sequiturs while constantly being given money by Cassie, the only black student explaining that "I can't help myself." The show further satirized him in a speech President Obama was addressing the nation saying he was going to watch "A JG Quintel show. I know it's embarrassing but I can't simply help myself." Finally in a surprise twist Quintel is forever buried, encased in steel saying "I'm very glad to hear the greatest threat to cartoons is now gone. Justice has been done."

Allegations of plagiarism

In early 2012 creator Jacob West filed suit against Quintel, complaining he stole material from his 2009 shows Invasion and Super Jail!. Marty Ross, Quintel's attorney, Suggested there was no need for her client to appropriate the work of others. Thecase was tried before Judge Carl Unruh in the US Eastern Court District of Michigan, returning an 8-0 verdict.

Deleted article!

Some asshole deleted the Regular Show Episodes List article "for copyright" bullshit! Every minimally popular TV show has an article like that with the information on the list of episodes of that show! Please restore that article!

Episode Articles

OK, some of you may know about the Exit 9B article that was deleted recently. The article wasn't that good (I heard that it included a review from some random guy on Deviantart). So if any more episode articles are made, it needs to have content other than the plot, such as sections featuring critical reception, home media, or censorship (Nothing has been censored yet). And the reception section should have reviews from critics, not random people on the internet. I will start making an article on the Emmy-winning article Eggscellent, but I have Mordecai and Rigby articles in the works.StaleCupcakes (talk) 14:38, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Regular show is about a blue jay and a raccoon working for a gum ball machine they work with a yeti, a lollipop, a ghost and a man who has muscles people call him muscle man! Skips is the yeti's name he skips all the time for no reason, the blue jay is mordecai and the raccoon is rugby. I forgot to mention they also work with a goat named Thomas. I got this source from whacthing to much television. Also I think u should watch it because their is a goat.

Thin Information

There are some errors in it. For example, there is thin information in some areas, and there are repeating sentences. So, please delete the scentence "In 'Exit 9B,' Death is among the characters who helped the park workers fight off Garrett Bobby Ferguson and his villain allies." And please add after "mispronounces his name," "as Beancan, Bert, Ball Bucket, Beanton, Bean Teen, and Beanson" (add the S to the "a" in "a lot" and delete " lot"), and delete " in some of the episodes he is in" (but keep the "."). Delete the extra "*" next to " Garrett Bobby Ferguson Jr." That way the page can be better.

Sexual Content?

The article contains the following info:

"Common Sense Media reviewer Melissa Camacho said the show to be "pretty edgy for non-Adult Swim Cartoon Network fare" due to its fantasy violence, sexual content and language..."

In fact, per the cited reference, "sexual content" is never mentioned in Camacho's article. 'Sex' is only mentioned in her review at all in that it appears on the 'checklist' of various positive/negative attributes possessed by the show (e.g. "Violence", "Sex", "Language", "Positive Messages"). The only specific detail listed under the 'Sex' topic references a plotline involving a male bird character having "a crush" on a female bird character.

IMO, while the Common Sense Media website is entitled to have its own criteria for determining what "sexual content" comprises, I argue that only the loosest definition of such would require the inclusion of a crush on such a list. As such, I feel the aforementioned quote from the article attributes an opinion to Camacho that she may or may not actually have, and strongly implies significant sexual content in the show, an assertion that the cited reference article absolutely does not support.

The info in the article should be adjusted to more accurately reflect the tone of Camacho's opinions on the show (I highly doubt Camacho herself would claim that the show's inclusion of characters with crushes on other characters would be considered 'edgy', in any sense of the word, and at any point in the past 40 years of television, for that matter), as the user who included this info in the article is misrepresenting both the potentially inappropriate claimed in Camacho's review and (more importantly) that content contained in the show itself.

Also, "said the show to be" is atrocious grammar.

While this show does have quite a lot of innuendo humor, I think it doesn't firmly fit into "adult animation". I came to this page looking for the answer to this question. I heard somewhere that the show was originally titled "the Normal Show." Maybe the source of this information holds the answer to where the title came from.

I think that it has something to do with the fact that the park is presented as a "normal" workplace. This works really well because many of the episodes have an ironic ending.
