repeated removal of "... is a Cuban American"[edit]

Editors have removed from the lead that Trevejo is Cuban American. Cuban Americans are Americans who trace their ancestry to Cuba. Per 2007 Census 415,212 of them were not citizens. Trevejo is listed in the article List of Cuban Americans. In addition to the Billboard article cited here are other sources of varying quality which say Trevejo is either a Cuban American or a Cuban born American: [1] [2] [3] [4] In addition to the sources saying she is Cuban American we also have these sourced facts

  • Trevejo was born in Cuba
  • Trevejo is living in Miami, FL

A point of contention is citizenship. If someone is not a citizen can they be called Cuban American? In practice both U.S. citizens and residents of Cuban decent are referred to as Cuban Americans, although it's not well documented. However, a similar example would be Mexican American which has this definition @ dictionary.com: "noun: a citizen or resident of the U.S. of Mexican birth or descent; Chicano." As I mentioned earlier, the Cuban Americans article demographics section includes non-citizens, indicating that other editors use a "citizen or resident" criteria. Editor Pinkdevil619 (talk · contribs) has told me Trevejo is not a citizen and only citizens can be Cuban Americans. While this may be unresolved we have no reliable source giving the citizenship status of Trevejo. Because the statement has a reliable source and no reliable sources have been identified that dispute it I see no policy based reason for it's removal. Scottish Singles[edit]

@Thsmi002: I can't find the chart position for Scottish singles anywhere. Where did you get that from? Do you have a source? The editor whose username is Z0 12:32, 1 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Z0:, Whoops, I saw it on HRVY but I missed that it wasn't sourced! Thsmi002 (talk) 14:08, 1 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the article, it says she has over "5 million followers" on Instagram. I find it necessary it gets updated to "over 7 million followers" as where speaking over human beings. 2001:1C04:1000:EB00:70D1:C1E4:7A06:7EDF (talk) 16:31, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
