Jo Baer[edit]

Her work is in the collections of MoMA, the Tate, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Seattle Art Museum among others. She is a well known artist, her work sells for six figures at auctions, her paintings are owned by most important museums worldwide. She has been an important minimal artist since the mid-1960s...Modernist (talk) 03:43, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If she's important in her genre, there should be articles in books and magazines about her. Then that kind of information needs to go into the article, properly sourced and with properly-formatted footnotes. What we have now is barely a stub, and was created by a gallery looking to sell her stuff. --Orange Mike | Talk 04:19, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
She is as I've described, not everybody has a retrospective at the Whitney Museum. I'll add references over time...Modernist (talk) 04:25, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
She is undoubtedly notable, but yes more refs are needed. Johnbod (talk) 09:47, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tags[edit]

They are excessive...Modernist (talk) 15:39, 7 April 2010 (UTC) References to the Tate, the Dia Foundation, Art in America, retrospective at the Whitney is more than enough...Modernist (talk) 15:46, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article is referenced: Johnbod sums it up well in his edit summery. I don't think tags are needed at this time. If the offending editors have not been warned, they should be reminded of COI issues. Otherwise, we can move on. freshacconci talktalk 15:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tone[edit]

This article has been tagged as lacking encyclopedic tone since 2017. Not much has changed since then. However, I failed to see the issue in the article, and will remove the tag. The article is detailed and comprehensive, but indeed suited for an encyclopedia. If anyone wants to add back the tag, please state why, and which sections of the article bothered you.
