Clarification about Jim Ferguson the American guitarist/composer, to avoid possible confusion with other Jim Fergusons[edit]

Hello! I am the original creator of the Jim Ferguson Wiki entry. I see that the title has been changed from "Jim Ferguson (American guitarist/composer)" to simply "Jim Ferguson," because there are currently no other Wiki pages for a Jim Ferguson (mine was the first), and I have no problem with that, and I appreciate the input and help from other editors (thank you!). I just wanted to explain why I originally included the words "American guitarist/composer": to avoid confusion with other Jim Fergusons who, while they do not have their own Wiki pages, are mentioned in Wikipedia (and elsewhere on the Internet). For example, there is another "Jim Ferguson" who is an American jazz bass player and singer who has often been confused with Jim Ferguson the American jazz guitarist/composer listed here. In fact, shortly after I first posted this page, I discovered there were Wiki pages containing links to Jim Ferguson's page that were actually referring to the bass player, not the guitarist, and I had to edit those pages to remove the incorrect links and leave polite edit comments letting the writer know they had referenced the wrong Jim Ferguson (for example, Wiki pages for Ray Reach and Terry Teachout). There is also another "Jim Ferguson" who is a guitarist in the band Lotion, and yet another "Jim Ferguson" who apparently interviews Hollywood celebrities. So, to avoid any possible future confusion, I thought I should mention this here, before a well-meaning future editor mistakenly links an erroneous "Jim Ferguson" reference here. Hi Joanne. I'm the one responsible for submitting the move request, and I did so only because short and/or simplified page titles are generally the preference on Wikipedia if/when that name-space is available. The rule of thumb is usually to place a hatnote (as I've just done) at the top of pages that readers may erroneously link to while looking for someone or something other than what that article entails. This allows the reader to quickly locate a list of alternative near-match search results once they realise the article is not the one they wanted.
