File permission problem with File:Jim Ferguson in 2004.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Jim Ferguson in 2004.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. Hello -- I have contacted the copyright owner (Jim Ferguson) and have asked him to follow the above appropriate steps for a new, more current photo that will be uploaded soon. Note that he did give permission for the subject photo to be used, but didn't know at the time that it required more Wiki paperwork to support this. Since the photo has already been deleted, I have replaced it with another photo of Jim Ferguson that I also uploaded long ago, and is being used by another page, and for which Jim Ferguson also gave his permission to be used. Jim Ferguson

I thought I would let you know that I had to cut to quite a bit from the Jim Ferguson article. There was a lot of cheerleading. Even if sourced, an encyclopedia is different from a hagiography. Are you connected to him in some way? It looks less like writing, more like selling. The first few paragraphs are overlinked and oversourced. Why are there so many citations for such a simple fact? It's okay to use material from the subject's web site, but not to an excessive degree, to the degree that the article looks like an advertisement. I don't see the point in posting large amounts of material from his site, given that a reader can just as easily get to his site through Google without having to go through Wikipedia. Moreover, the introduction appears to be crowded with everything he has ever done. This material is then repeated in the body and again in the end sections. The same thing is being said over and over again ad nauseam. There are many places on Wikipedia that help with how to write these mini biographies, such as
