Planned Edits for the "Arpilleras" Wikipedia Page[edit]

Firstly, I am considering splitting the "Form and thematic content" section into two sections labeled "Form" and "Thematic Content." I have considered splitting this section into two separate sections because I believe both topics should be given separate attention. Similarly, I am planning on separating some information from the "Origins of the arpillera workshops" and placing that information into a new subsequent section labeled "Following the creation of arpillera workshops." I am planning on creating this new section to differentiate between the type of information that details the origins of the workshops and information on arpilleras after the workshops were established. Additionally, I am planning to include slightly more information on the "Historical background" section because I want to provide more context on the Chilean Revolution. Also, I am planning on including more information in the "Origins of arpillera workshops," "Form and thematic content," "Government response," and "Legacy" sections because there is plenty of information that these sections are lacking. I am also going to include new information in the new section, "Following the creation of arpillera workshops" because there is also information on this topic that the article is lacking.

Listed below are references I plan to use to include new information to the article.

Peer Review[edit]

Hello, there!

Here are some suggestions I have for this article based on the proposed edits:

•I think that separating the “Form” and “Thematic Content” sections would be a great improvement. These sections could also be renamed to just “Format” and “Themes” as well, as they are simpler words that get the point across better.

•Separating the “Origins” section with another section would be great. I think instead of “Following the creation of arpilleras workshops” it could just be “Establishment of arpilleras workshops” or “Spread of arpilleras workshops.” “Following the creation of…” just sounds like weird wording to me.

•This is very much a part of art history, so more pictures and visuals would be a great addition to this article.

•Move the “Impact on women” section in “Historical Background” down to the “Impact section.” It would fit better there.

•In general adding more information to each section would benefit the article.

Good luck!--KennyKetchum (talk) 16:49, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
