Project Israel To Do:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Now there's no quote...[edit]

OK, I won't put the Benjamin Netanyahu quote back in again. A quote by the prime minster of Israel didn't seem too outrageous a choice for the Israel portal, but I've probably missed the point. I didn't choose it; it was chosen by an IP in 2012.

So now there is no quote. Would someone like to choose another one? -- John of Reading (talk) 16:35, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The current quote from Barack Obama looks like a good choice.(Hyperionsteel (talk) 22:15, 9 June 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Ongoing edit war[edit]

There appears to be an ongoing edit war over the quote. The quote the IPs were adding, I just now realize, appears to have been anti-Arab, and discriminatory. Should the page be semi-protected? These editors appear to have solely been IP editors, so I think it would do (I may be wrong, though). Dustin (talk) 00:02, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There's a similar edit war at Portal:Palestine/Selected quote/2. -- John of Reading (talk) 05:28, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I requested that the page be semi-protected to end the war. Dustin (talk) 05:31, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
These wars occur wherever I go, many banned editors like to follow me, it's best to ignore them. Sepsis II (talk) 05:44, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Should I ask the sysop to see my protection request to speed things up? Dustin (talk) 05:46, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
