Discussion[edit]

@Shushugah: @Zarasophos: I was wondering more about your plans about the edit-a-thon. I'm competely onboard and would love to help out as much as I can. Were you thinking something along the lines of the Military History edit-a-thon or something else? I think some type of contest would be great. Giftcards or books from publishers would be ideal as rewards. I might be willing to chip in a bit if that doesn't work. I have no contact with any of these publishing houses, but I would be happy to work with anybody else to contact them and try. --Meanderingbartender (talk) 17:21, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have started to reach out to some of these institutions for both prizes/outreach (will document it shortly), and I imagine something like a smaller version of Wikipedia:WikiProject AfroCine/Months of African Cinema which would also allow us to build up a ToDo registry of useful articles/sources by country and or topics. I also like their interface for listing specific events that come up. Shushugah (talk) 18:00, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I mean, to start off we with a TBD list, we could just copy everything left over from the Labour in Tech editathon. Actually, if nobody objects, I'll just do that tomorrow. As for a list of sources, I have tons of those already - again, if nobody objects, I'll start building up a repository on the WikiProject page. Zarasophos (talk) 20:45, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
