Knights of Columbus[edit]

Previous peer review

This peer review discussion has been closed.
I've listed this article for peer review because this was once a featured article, but was removed for lack of historical criticisms of the organization, especially with Protestant groups, and with some of the images. I think I have addressed both concerns, and would like to submit it for featured article status again.

Brief comments
  • First of all the article needs a thorough overhaul of the prose. At a single reading I noted "Klu Klux Klan" (several times), "auxilleries", "prevelant" and "cannonized"; a more thorough perusal will probably reveal more spelling errors.
  • Secondly, there is a bad case of WP:OVERLINK throughout the article. Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Guam, Spain, Japan, Cuba, Poland and New York City should not be linked; nor should everyday words like "widows", "orphans", "laymen", "patriotism", "tuxedo" or "cape".
  • Thirdly, the referencing is not up to FA standard, in my view. Too reliant on the organisation's own website (sometimes acknowledged in the citation as in note 61, but more often not, as in note 51) and the Kaufmann book.

I hope these few points are helpful. Tim riley (talk) 11:12, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
