Speedy deletion nomination of Dudher Kuthi Dewan Bosh[edit]

Hello Ziyaurr,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Dudher Kuthi Dewan Bosh for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Gachangi (talk) 14:20, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't drop in a huge chunk of foreign language text into an article as you did here. --NeilN talk to me 04:08, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's necessary here.Ziyaurr (talk)

No, it's not. It means nothing to English language readers. --NeilN talk to me 06:30, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's not only for English readers but for whole. It's for better understanding. Ziyaurr (talk)
No, this is the English language Wikipedia. Content needs to be in English. --NeilN talk to me 06:40, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
To understand better we need to know the Arabic text. Because, the subject is about that Arabic text. And, for more understanding I'll add the meaning for the text in English. Thanks Ziyaurr (talk)
Again, English readers will have zero use for scrolling through a mass of foreign language text. And any translation must come from reliable sources. It cannot be your own interpretation. --NeilN talk to me 06:47, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'll mention reference. Ziyaurr (talk)
If you're thinking of adding in the whole thing, please don't. That sort of thing belongs at Wikisource. --NeilN talk to me 07:05, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree with NeilN, Ziyaurr. I understand where you're coming from, but this is still the English Wikipedia. A link to Wikisource will do just as well. I have seen that in some other suras you added text and I will look at them; if they are accompanied by a reliably sourced translation, as NeilN suggest, that may be (more) acceptable. I think in general this is a good topic to start a conversation on; unfortunately, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Quran seems to be pretty inactive. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Bible is a lot more lively, if only to indicate where most of our editors are coming from. :) As luck will have it, Alephb just started a conversation on a biblical topic that's related to yours. I do believe in general we need to figure out a. how to bring the articles on the suras up to standard and b. what to include or not to include. For instance, I saw that Matthew 7 has the full text, and I'm not sure I agree with that. But dropping in 100k of untranslated Arabic doesn't help anyone, really. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 19:00, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I already started to translate other Surahs (Al-Fatiha, Al-Nas) with reliable sources. Thanks! Ziyaurr (talk)

February 2017[edit]

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Al-Baqara.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. NeilN talk to me 06:28, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Al-Falaq. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. NeilN talk to me 06:56, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I visited the website [ http://www.islamvision.org/b111.html ] you provided. Unfortunately, they have the same version of this work. Perhaps, they are using this work for it is a free to use material. This work is of Hafiz Khan, July 2011; San Jose, California USA Web Site: www.quranpda.com Email: quran@quranpda.com. You can visit his website. This work is also available @ http://www.quran-eic.com/assets/HTML/Tafheemul_Quran_Arb_Eng.html and some other websites.

You can read the Introduction section from http://www.quran-eic.com/assets/HTML/Tafheemul_Quran_Arb_Eng.html that this is a free to use work. User:Ziyaurr (talk)

The introduction states that the text that it is a translation of Tafhim-ul-Quran, which was written by Abul A'la Maududi (1903-1979) and likely first published in Pakistan. Under Pakistani law, literary works are copyrighted for fifty years after the death of the author,[1] which would be until 1979+50=2029. We would need to see a statement by Maududi (or the publisher that owns the copyright, if not him) that the work is freely usable. Also, what you call the "free to use" statement in the introduction ("There are no restrictions. This work is available free of cost. CDs can be made and distributed. Web sites can copy and redistribute without seeking any permission.") is insufficient for Wikipedia, even if the person putting this material online did have Maududi's blessing. Wikipedia requires a statement permitting modification and permitting commercial use. Thanks, Calliopejen1 (talk) 17:24, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article BeHafizh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced article on an unremarkable Quaran study aid app.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. An article you recently created, Government Industrial Training Institute Coochbehar, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 17:27, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
