Regarding edits to Polycythemia[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Smithjd8! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bmembers\.aol\.com\/.+, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 01:08, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Institute for Research on Learning requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Communities of Practice (The Scientific Perspective)[edit]

Hi Smithjd8 - I have no problem with you borrowing the words of User:Stevenson-Perez, which was what you found on my page, but you look more closely at my Talk page. This particular user suddenly came out of nowhere and started adding (The Scientific Perspective) to all sorts of entries in Wikipedia. I would not want to vouch for the accuracy of what he/she said on my page.

I noticed your comment at the bottom of the Community of Practice Talk Page - I know of the authors and looking at the title of the book, perhaps this might be better suited to Virtual community of practice page. If you have the time and energy this page could also do with some tidying up.
