I like your suggestion[edit]

I like you suggestion on Jimbo Wales page for blanking or locking the page of the House Judiciary Committee members for SOPA if I understand your correctly. I hope you add it to the page linked on Jimbo Wales page by him and Phillipe. I would suggest you omit the one committee member who is AGAINST the bill - namely Rep. Zoe Lofgren - see here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-31921_3-20126590-281/rep-lofgren-copyright-bill-is-the-end-of-the-internet/ Also I listened to the hearing yesterday and she is an important ally. Anyway, I like your suggestion and support it. Mugginsx (talk) 21:38, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Yes, you got my point completely. I did add my comment to the SOPA initiative page under "Area of Effect", so hopefully others will see it and comment there too. I'd love for the idea to spread to the other internet companies against SOPA. Imagine if these politicians' Facebook or Twitter pages were blanked out as well? I think it would teach them a simple lesson of why openness is important. Pikewood (talk) 21:44, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I heard that Wikipedia is almost always at the top or within the top three items results on a search engine! That must mean that alot of people go there first or second! You have a great idea and I will go to where you put your suggestion and give my support and comment there. Mugginsx (talk) 22:38, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Humm, Pikewood, it seems that charitable corporation status would be endangered if we engage in certain kinds of political activities or partisanship. As much as I like it, it may be forbidden. Too bad. Perhaps we need to ask a big wig that question. Mugginsx (talk) 09:11, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
