Charles Péguy's death[edit]

"I don't see what the death had to do with the battle, other than happening the day before it." You have your answer, it happened the day before it, in a military manoeuver which is closely linked with the future operation (it is not exactly as though Péguy died 3 weeks before the battle in some Gallipoli trench).

Surely, Charles Péguy did not died in the proper counter-offensive which was to be known as the battle of the Marne. But the proximity of time and localisation with the battle made me think that adding this anecdote (specifying that he died "on the eve" of the battle) could be of some interest for the readers. Not vital for the comprehension of the military event, but enriching if you want to learn more things. User:guigui169--Guigui169 (talk) 16:09, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Note in the talk page[edit]

I'm not sure to have well understood what you yant me to do in the talk page. Otherwise, I'm fine with your modifications, as it did not erased Péguy's death anecdote. Cordially.
