Speedy deletion nomination of BibleStudyTools.com[edit]

Hello Fi11222,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged BibleStudyTools.com for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Travelbird (talk) 04:25, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I agree to the deletion. I started this article but I realize it is not worth it. Fi11222 (talk) 07:20, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:ERE SPE in 570AD.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:ERE SPE in 570AD.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:01, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Deceit, Desire and the Novel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://dailyquiddity.blogspot.com/2017/07. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, Fi11222. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, Draft:Deceit, Desire and the Novel.

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it. — JJMC89(T·C) 07:15, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions notification[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

October 2019[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use talk pages for inappropriate discussion, as you did at Talk:Gamergate controversy, you may be blocked from editing. Jorm (talk) 18:30, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You need to read assume good faith and not accuse other editors of acting in concert. Active editors keep watchlists and if they are active at the same time will see edits at pages they have in common on their watchlists. You're on a highly watched page and your claims of totalitarianism are unacceptable and may be considered a violation of the relevant discretionary sanctions. Warnings are statements of consequences that can follow actions. Doug Weller talk 18:42, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify further: it is not disruptive to voice an opinion, but it is disruptive to continue to WP:BLUDGEON a discussion when it is clear that no one is going to agree with you. The complaint you're raising has been raised dozens of times in the past, and the article as written reflects a broad consensus among Wikipedia editors. You raised an issue, you received an answer, and now its time to move on to some other issue. Nblund talk 19:05, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'll second the request to drop the stick. EvergreenFir (talk) 19:27, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
