Revdel request

This is just to let you know that your revision deletion request has been declined. You may wish to reread WP:RD2 which excludes the type of edits you mentioned. We would have tried to have communicated that in the channel, but you need to stay around until someone reviews it to get the result. Thanks, -- Amanda (aka DQ) 00:02, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Ok, thanks. I don't really know how IRC works and I ran into issues but I would have stayed. Eyebeller (talk) 00:15, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Editing and sources discussion

Hello! I was the anonymous user who’s edit you deleted from the wiki page for the musician, Kennedy. At the time of editing, I was not aware that I was not logged in, that must have been a mistake. Anyways, I got all of my information for his discography from his ITunes page, which I am unsure how to cite. If you could restore my edits, and give it a proper citation, it would be much appreciated. Also, the source for his reason for being kicked out of Silversun Pickups was from an interview the bands singer did years ago, which I cannot find. The only record of this information is from a fan site for the band, the owner of which I am in contact with and provided the original, now lost, sources. The reason I left my edit without citation, is I was going to look for my sources. I did not expect such a quick removal, especially on such an obscure Wikipedia page. I hope you can understand that this was merely a misunderstanding, and from what I can gather, my information was 100% accurate. Manmanboyboyman man (talk) 19:46, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello Manmanboyboyman man and thanks for reaching out to me. You could have cited the iTunes page, using the Cite Web template. As the page/discography is by the artist themselves, that would be reliable. Regarding him being kicked out of Silversun Pickups - as the article is a biography of a living person, Wikipedia's policy requires "all quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation; material not meeting this standard may be removed". This is likely to be challenged, therefore unless a source is found for that we can't add that in, unfortunately.
Your edit was flagged to the edit patrolling software Huggle; that's where I saw it and why I removed it so quickly. To make sure your content isn't removed in the future, please make sure to add the content and sources at the same time. I understand your good intentions. If you reply with a link to the musicians iTunes page, I'll look at it and see if I can add your sourced content back in. Eyebeller (talk) 20:02, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

November 2020

Hello Eyeballer, I am still learning the ropes and until you pointed it out I had no idea I had deleted content, I was only reviewing the article based on new information and standard practice here, and unintentionally didn't leave a description in the edit summary. Thank you for pointing it out as I know what to do next time. Naijaseer (talk) 03:01, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi Naijaseer. Thanks for your message. I'm glad you read my message on your talk page and I look forward to seeing your helpful contributions in the future. :) Eyebeller (talk) 07:55, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Selenetherium

Don't revert, the thing is actually misspelled. The page needs to be moved, too. Regards, Wilhelm Tell DCCXLVI converse | fings wot i hav dun 13:56, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

There is no evidence that it is a spelling mistake, the current spelling seems to be correct. Why do you think it's a spelling mistake? Eyebeller (talk) 13:59, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Eyebeller: The authorities who named the taxon, Mackaye, Brunet & Tassy, spelled it with an e. You can look at the source in the reflist. Wilhelm Tell DCCXLVI converse | fings wot i hav dun 14:11, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Reverted.

Hi and welcome to wikipedia. How much of the Donald B. Gillies do you think is sourced? In fact, practically zero. I would apppreciate it if you would stop reverting edits about my dad. SystemBuilder (talk) 19:46, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

There are quite a few citations. The fact that he is your dad does not make your content sourced or verifiable. Please stop adding unsourced content per WP:CHALLENGE. Thanks. Eyebeller (talk) 19:47, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Congratulations

CVU Academy Graduate
Congratulations from both myself and all of the instructors at the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy on your successful completion of the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy. You completed your final exam with a score of 97%. Well done! Further information on your achievement can be found on this page.

It has been a pleasure working with you these past few weeks, and thank you for offering to help out in removing vandalism from the project's articles. If you ever need any advice or assistance in the future, you're always welcome on my talk page.

Hope to see you around! GirthSummit (blether) 17:30, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for being my trainee. I coincide with your statement, it has been a massive enjoyment while you were my trainee and I express my deepest gratification. I'm kind of annoyed at myself for not checking that {{Uw-articlesig}} only has 1 warning level but at least I learnt something. :) Eyebeller (talk) 17:57, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Congrats on graduating from the CVU Academy! I hope you're enjoying yourself here, it's a fun hobby really. Additional congrats on getting your rollback and PCR rights too, they aren't easy to get for such a new account. Again, feel free to let me know if you need any help (or have any RedWarn issues we can deal with). Stay safe, Ed talk! 01:41, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
Thanks mate. I actually stopped using RedWarn because it doesn't work on mobile devices. I switched to using Twinkle instead. I do like the default revert reasons RedWarn offers which Twinkle doesn't and would use RedWarn if it worked on mobile. Right now, the buttons just break on mobile and sometimes with both Twinkle and RedWarn enabled, it breaks completely causing me to have to completely disable RedWarn. Is there any way to allow RedWarn to be usable on mobile? Eyebeller (talk) 12:44, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

Monte Carlo edits

Hi eyebeller. Why are you removing my additions on this subject? They are improvements! I have not yet attributed sources because I want to refer to them as a whole. Otherwise, there are no resources on the present information. Please restore this information, because the present wikipedia page on this subject is incomplete and some times wrong. Esepecially names of participant and vehicles are not correct. I put great effort in improving the quality of information! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:1C02:2B22:F400:E9F0:B26A:30FE:6A8C (talk) 19:04, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Sorry for the late reply and for removing your content. I have looked at your changes and I'm not sure why I reverted your edit. Sorry about that; feel free to readd your content. Best. Eyebeller (talk) 12:27, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
