I have moved your flvplayer.com link from the 'Free / open source software' section to the 'Freeware and shareware' section. The links inclusion in the free software section was not accurate as the software is not licensed under any suitable license. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_software for a description of what qualifies as free software.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page Flash Video do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. See your previous discussion here. Thank you. ~a (usertalkcontribs) 00:58, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This inclusion is very accurate because it is licensed as a FREE software under Creative Commons Attribution (CCA) license. There are other inclusions based on the same license (Dash Media Player) and other with links to free and commercial licenses (Flow Player) so I don't understand why this particular inclusion is not accurate while other are. Please see [Wikipedia - Creative Commons license (CCA) Free License]. DevBase (talk) 16:17, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Falcon8765 (talk) 17:29, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is plenty of links to products which are still listed on this page (for ex. CorePlayer, Zoom Player etc). If we are agree to remove all links from shareware / freeware products (where majority is posted by people affiliated with those sites) and all links to any sites that promote commercial products ...I'm all for it. But I will not allow to remove selective links and leaving other links untouched. Either we are applying the same measures to everyone or we discriminate selective entries.

By the way...we created free version under free Creative Commons license to allow people enjoy free application. We don't care if wiki is or it is not indexed in search engines because this Free FLV Player is intended to be our part of collaboration with Flash community not a commercial product.
