Multiple accounts[edit]

Can someone please explain why a series of very similar accounts and userpages for Scottish editors, seemingly from a template, were created in a couple of minutes? Is this a university project Acroterion (talk) 11:22, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It was a short meetup of potential volunteers for a project getting some basic training on how to use Wikipedia and to see if they enjoyed it. DeeplySleepySheepy (talk) 12:06, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Categorise on WCommons[edit]

Images on WCommons, such as File:Page f.1r of Pontifical Romanum (1572).jpg you uploaded, should always be in at least on category. Categories are at the bottom of the page, the "Categories (++): (+)"; you can add a category by clicking on "+" and following instructions; you can removed a category by clicking on the "-" in fron of the category. You can check on the left margin of Wikipedia whether there is already a WCommons category or not.

Sometimes, a category needs to be created.

In this case, c:Category:Roman Pontifical already exists. Veverve (talk) 17:29, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For example, you would need to categorise your images of Celtic Psalter by creating a category on WCommons and linking it to the Wikidata item of the article. The category you create should also be in one category. Wikipedia should not have a WP:GALLERY section. Veverve (talk) 17:31, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
