Your edit to Eve Myles

Hi, I reverted your edit to Eve Myles because Wikipedia biographies are required to use only free use images. The image you used is a promotional photo for Torchwood, and could qualify as fair use for Torchwood articles, but is not fair use for Eve Myles as it is replaceable - ie a free image could conceivably be found, which is obviously not possible for the character of Gwen Cooper. Hope you understand. -mattbuck (Talk) 00:05, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Your edit to Spooks

Episode 8 of the current series hasn't even aired yet! So, even if you've somehow seen it already, that's rather cruel of you to ruin it for those who haven't seen it because it hasn't aired yet... RAR! DBD 23:58, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh. Fair enough then. I wasn't aware it was to/had aired then. Poo. DBD 17:01, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

I've made a comment regarding this on DBD' talk page. ~~ [ジャム][talk] 23:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi. I've added the flag for you per your request. Please review WP:ROLLBACK in full and feel free to ask me for any help. Sorry it took some time to process your request. Pedro :  Chat  22:22, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Edit to Dean Close School

I'm not sure what you have reverted and why you think whatever it was appeared to be unconstructive or why you thought the edit summary was uninformative. Trust me I have looked but the revert reference seems to point to my linking OD Francis Bacon to the painter not the statesman. Please advise. Mark PS: I am logged in now and this is me: Mark (talk) 15:33, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Your note said: The recent edit you made to the page Dean Close School has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. CalumH93 (talk) 17:38, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

The comment that I left on your talk page was automatically done by Huggle, I did not actully visit your page and leave the comment, therefore I did not mean to imply to you that you did not leave an edit summary as i did not have any imput as to what the comment would say. With regards to your edit that was reverted, I accidently reverted that using huggle when I was patrolling pages for vandalism (as I was too quick in clicking the revert button and I do not get a prompt or warning when I do so - the revert happens instantly), and as you will see from the page history I quickly undone my edit, though i forgot to remove the comment from your talk page. I apologize for the mixup and I have removed the comment from your IP's talk page. Hope you understand and accept my apology. Thanks CalumH93 (talk) 17:17, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
That explains why I could not understand your revert. No problem, and thanks for the helpful explanation and generous apology. Mark (talk) 08:40, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Could you please confirm you requested an account on the acc tool. --Chris 13:08, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

I've approved your account. Please read the guide and subscribe to the mailing list. Also if you have WP:IRC you can join us in #wikipedia-en-accounts --Chris 09:41, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi CalumH93: Many thanks for "watching my back" from that vandal--they were persistent. But as I have experienced, they are fighting a battle they cannot win, even if their IP address changes. So goes the war! Pinethicket (talk) 11:30, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for reverting vandalism on my user page :)--NotedGrant Talk 10:03, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Your quick work in fighting vandalism is appreciated.

Inadvertently restoring vandalism

Hi. Please be careful with reversions. "Rachel smell like poo" is probably not a net positive to this article. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:32, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the pointer. Looking at the revision history it appears another user has reverted at the same time as i was trying to, though they were quicker leading me to revert their anti-vadalism edit without me realising. I'll be more carefull next time (and quicker!) Thanks CalumH93 (talk) 22:14, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
It happens. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:52, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

League of Ireland

I would like to invite you to join this, an effort by Irish users to improve the articles on the League of Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the IFA Premiership. All that really needs to be done is a bit of research and sticking it in to the articles. Yours would be a valuable contribution.

Thanks--ShedEnd1984 (talk) 21:56, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the invite. However I will have to politely decline as I have no interest in anything football related so would have nothing valuable to contribute. Also i'm Scottish and live in Scotland so have no knowledge what so ever about the Irish football leagues etc. Thanks CalumH93 (talk) 22:22, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Ah well, thanks for getting back to me & enjoy editing on here.--ShedEnd1984 (talk) 22:42, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of 'blank' articles

Hi there. I've just declined your speedy deletion nomination of Worlds Greenest Homes. Whilst the article was blank when you tagged it, you need to check the edit history, as the content (which was admitedly only a redirect) had been blanked by an IP. I've restored the redirect. If you come across empty articles, always make sure to check whether the article's always been blank, as it often is the case that content has been blanked. Thanks, and keep up the patrolling. GedUK  11:55, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the pointer. However i seen that but still decided to mark it as a candidate for speedy deletion because as said in the IP's edit summary, the article that it redirects to is someone who's house was only featured on the program, not an article about the program. So i did not see the significance of redirecting it there and keeping the page. Thanks CalumH93 (talk) 12:00, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for revert on my page

Thanks for that revision. You changed it so fast, I had to look look in history to see what had happened! I'll be able to take my own talk page off my watchlist, at this rate. Cheers, Piano non troppo (talk) 09:45, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Beit Yaakov (Jerusalem). I do not think that Beit Yaakov (Jerusalem) fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because though it does exist in the Hebrew Wikipedia, it is a notable topic, and a (very partial) translation has been initiated. I request that you consider not re-tagging Beit Yaakov (Jerusalem) for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. You are, of course, free to tag the article with {{prod}} or nominate it at WP:AFD. Favonian (talk) 11:17, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

No problem, thanks for letting me know CalumH93 (talk) 11:20, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi CalumH93. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I just wanted to inform you that I declined to delete Independence mine, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion under criterion A7 because of the following concern: the criterion you used does not cover this kind of page or the reason you specified is not a valid reason for speedy deletion. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion and especially what is considered Non-criteria. In future you should rather tag such pages for proposed deletion or start an appropriate deletion discussion. Regards ArcAngel (talk) 15:12, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

No problem, Thanks for letting me know CalumH93 (talk) 15:14, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

The article Remco group has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This stub alleges this is a notable company, but provides no reliable sources to prove so.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I removed your speedy tag; it claims a huge capitalization. Sorry for the template. Bearian (talk) 22:30, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

I am a little confused as to why you have left this notification on my talk page as i did not create the article, I only tagged it for speedy deletion. Please advise? Thanks CalumH93 (talk) 23:25, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
It's a courtesy, that's all: "I removed your speedy tag; it claims a huge capitalization. Sorry for the template." Bearian (talk) 01:46, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Oh ok, I never seen that bit at the end. No problem, thanks very much CalumH93 (talk) 07:30, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of List of reptiles of Finland

Hi, I have declined the speedy deletion of this article because it does not meet the criteria for WP:CSD#A7, which is fairly specific as to which article subjects it applies to. Kevin (talk) 11:20, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

"Question" articles

Hi. When an article is just a question, like "What is contingent liabilities" just now, it is friendly to point the newbie to the WP:Reference desk, at the same time suggesting that he makes some effort to find the answer himself before going there. You can see at User talk:Kharel36 a possible form of words. Also, though that article clearly needed to be speedied, it wasn't strictly within the definition of WP:CSD#G1 which is quite narrowly defined as "consisting entirely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content", intended for O*&^I&^%(nd@#% and the like. That catches a lot of new page patrollers out: for many of the things that get tagged as "nonsense", such as "Elvis Presley is living on the moon LOL" the right tag is WP:CSD#G3 "blatant misinformation". For the "question" article just now, I used WP:CSD#A1 "no context". There's good advice on speedy tagging from an experienced admin at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Keep up the good work - New Page Patrol needs all the eyes it can get! Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:30, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello CalumH93. I've declined your speedy deletion nomination, as I consider the subject to be notable. Check the article again, please, and take it to AfD, if you disagree. Thank you. --Vejvančický (talk) 11:52, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

No problem, thanks for letting me know CalumH93 (talk) 11:53, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi CalumH93!

I declined the speedy deletion of this article as there are plenty indications of the subject's significance. Remember that criterion A7 is only for articles that do not at all indicate the importance or significance of the subject. Regards, decltype (talk) 12:07, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
