Welcome! By the way, someone who participates in Wikipedia is generally referred to as a Wikipedian. See the plentiful subcategories in Category:Wikipedians to see how to add yourself to say, Category:Wikipedians in Canada. Anyway...

Hi, Bdoserror, Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello, bonjour, salut, privyet, konichiwa, shalom, hola, salve, sala'am, bonjourno, and hi! I'm Sputnik. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". We're glad to have you in our community! I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful. If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you. Here are a few links to get you started:
And remember:
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
  • P.S. I'm happy to help new users. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

Happy Wiki-ing!

CFL Category[edit]

For a category the part after the "|" determines where the article gets displayed on the category page. So if you add [[Category:Some category|W]] then that article will get listed under the W section in the category. Adding "| " is a special case and is used to put an article as the very first article listed on the category page; this is used typically to put the "main article" for the category first. So for example the Canadian Football League article will get listed first in the Category:Canadian Football League since it is the main article associated with that category. Hope this explains it. Happy editing. Qutezuce 19:27, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Calling programmers[edit]

We need coders for the WikiProject Disambigation fixer. We need to make a program to make faster and easier the fixing of links. We will be happy if you could check the project. You can Help! --Neo139 08:52, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pro Football Template[edit]

I am not sure how to handle the minor league issue. The code is out there. I am confident people who know how to handle the issue will make the proper corrections. Thanks for your other thoughts. You should have just made the changes. I take no offense to ameliorative changes to my pages. TonyTheTiger 22:24, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you created World crime league (group) based on information which had been placed in World Crime League. Is there any evidence to support that the "group" in the new article, described as an elite dining group in Washington, D.C., ever actually existed, or was even part of some notable fictional work? --Metropolitan90 07:11, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reasoner is merely wearing an A because Captain Ethan Moreau is injured. Horcoff, Hemsky, Staios and Stoll are the 'regular' alternate captains (they were appointed by the Oilers at the start of the season, along with Captain Moreau). Also, Souray wore the A because of Moreau's situation (until Souray got injured), now Reasoner is doing the same. PS- all 'fill-in' alternates on the other NHL Team pages don't have their A linked either. GoodDay 23:10, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've opened a discussion at Wikipedia: WikiProject Ice Hockey concerning how to handle filling-in Captains & alternate captains. I'll go with what they prefer - fill free to giv your opinons on the matter. GoodDay 17:08, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do as you like Bdoserror (on any of the 30 NHL articles), a Project memeber informed me I was making a big stink over nothing. GoodDay 18:37, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Change in CFL broadcasters[edit]

Yes, I do. I got it from the CFL's official broadcaster page at the bottom of the page just this morning. Sorry I forgot to post the reference (apparently it changed last year according to the page...) J. Myrle Fuller (talk) 23:31, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
