MSDN to Microsoft Developer Network[edit]

Hi Adamforster. I notice you "moved" the MSDN article to Microsoft Developer Network. While the move is fine, the way you did it was incorrect. You simply took the text from MSDN and pasted it into a new article. While this does move all the content over to the new article, it totally discards the entire edit history of the article, an invaluable resource. When you want to move an article, first discuss it on the article's talk page (unless the need for a move is obvious, like for a misspelling). Then when moving the article, use the "Move this page" link. It will preserve the edit history and move the article to the new name. Take care! :-) Frecklefoot | Talk 18:07, July 14, 2005 (UTC)

Hi Frecklefoot. Sorry about that, I have only recently started contributing to Wikipedia and as yet haven't had a chance to read all of the guides and conventions. Thanks for letting me know what I had done wrong. Adam Forster 15:03, 19 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I had an admin move the history. I hope you enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Frecklefoot | Talk 17:37, July 19, 2005 (UTC)
