June 2019[edit]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 10:58, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: Please do not threaten me about blocking! I am an administrator myself. I don't use Wikipedia, I have my own wiki, and it is better than here. Libregamewiki is the best wiki in the world! It is better than Wikipedia. My name is Dove Windsor! 81.133.5.100 (talk) 11:10, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Draft:Libregamewiki has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 331dot (talk) 12:21, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, 81.133.5.100. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 12:21, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unless your wiki is written about with significant coverage in independent reliable sources, it will not merit an article here. 331dot (talk) 12:22, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: Then let's find some. Search Google. 81.133.5.100 (talk) 13:13, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't up to me to find sources for you. You need to show that the site meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable website, written at WP:NWEB. Is your website really written about with significant coverage in the news or other reliable sources that have a history of editorial control and fact checking? 331dot (talk) 13:16, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm William Avery. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Mary Berry, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! William Avery (talk) 16:01, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
