Hi I am Masood Rezvi, just another ordinary mortal, from Lucknow, India. My broad area of interest is economics and more specifically I am interested in inclusive and sustainable growth. I have written a book on poverty and am writing one on interest and another on inflation and have started an NGO at Lucknow for research, discussion and implementation of innovative ideas for inclusive and sustainable growth with justice. I teach economics and finance in a local college and am a former bank manager, and a former student of agriculture with my masters in Plant Breeding (and Genetics). I have done my MBA with specialisation in Finance. I read passionately about religious philosophies, mainly in their socioeconomic dimension, i.e., how and how much they have become or can become instrumental in achieving equity on earth or otherwise. This is not limited to religious philosophies but includes capitalism and Marxism and all. I am also deeply interested in ecology, in feminism, in LGBT issues, in sexual behaviors and the possibility of speciation of Homo sapiens.

I believe[edit]

I firmly believe that no truth whatsoever is unquestionable.

I do personally believe in God, and the Prophets and the Hereafter, but somehow I find that I fit into no official religious denomination fully - and so I respect them all equally.

Perhaps I am a thirsty wanderer in a desert.

I wish to[edit]

I wish and propose to be an active member of Wikipedia. Happened to trample upon by pure chance on pages which need too much tone neutralisation to make them really useful for a seeker of knowledge and I am unable somehow to suppress my inner urge to do exert with full commitment for improving these pages.

In addition Urdu literature and poetry is my passion. I like reading Sci Fi novels specially those written by Issac Asimov.

Notes related to my Wikipedia work and activities[edit]

I edited pages on Rice, Poverty, Bottom of the Pyramid, Interest, Sunni Islam and Meer Anis.
