This is the user space of Ian Sommerville.

I have just started experimenting with adding wikipedia entries - still have lots to learn.

My first entry is about SICSA - the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance. I have a potential conflict of interest here as I have been involved with this organisation for some years and am currently its Director. However, we are being very careful in preparing and editing this entry to ensure that there are only substantiated, objective statements included with no comments on the relative merits of SICSA.

I have started working on a page on Large-scale Complex IT Systems. Again a potential COI as I receive funding in this area but, as above, working slowly and ensuring objectivity is paramount. Related edits on Ultra-large-scale systems entry.
