The result of this minor discussion was to go forth with merger Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 05:58, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Having split off content to create the Wascopam Mission, I feel Pulpit Rock (The Dalles, Oregon) would make a sensible merge. While the latter is a land formation, its sole significance comes from the Wascopam Mission. Indeed, it was the primary location Methodist priests to preach to location Indigenous. Additionally the Pulpit Rock article is linked by only two articles, counting this one. It isn't integral. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 08:42, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That looks like a good merge to me. The merged articles could use some further polishing as well; for example, the first sentence of the Wascopam Mission article seems to assume that readers will already know where the first mission was. Most will not. The first sentence should also specify the state and country. Finetooth (talk) 00:52, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, Oregon Country rather than Oregon since the state did not exist then. Finetooth (talk) 00:55, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The Wascopam Mission currently is what I wrote originally on the Methodist Mission page. I'd imagine it will need tweaking. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 03:00, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for working on it. Your help is appreciated. Finetooth (talk) 14:39, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No objections, and a supportive comment on the Pulpit Rock page. Going forth with merger. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 05:58, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
