Ravenscroft[edit]

The Ravenscroft material should be treated at reasonable length only. Charles Matthews (talk) 13:02, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've cut this considerably; much was speculative or Original research. Hgilbert (talk) 13:52, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Walter Johannes Stein Wiki Article: Fictionalization[edit]

The information under this heading: Fictionalization, quotes Eric Wynants in a comment that amounts to character assasination of Trevor Ravenscroft, the Author of The Spear of Destiny. Any reader familiar with the work and biography of Stein, will know that this statement of Wynants in not true, but unfortunately this comment has been erroneously accepted by many readers. Eric Wynants is an alias sometime used by Eric Wijnants, who is reported to be a known plagiarist for whom substantial information is available on the internet, including Wikipedia under his real name. 21:51, 14 May 2016 (UTC)2600:8800:2209:2900:9126:8F2D:6467:BF68 (talk)C.C. Allen[1]

I am familiar with Stein's work and life, and the claim that Ravenscroft did not know him rings true to me. It is, more relevantly, sourced to a WP:Reliable source not authored by Wynant. unless the credentials of the author of the cited work are in doubt, there's not much of a case here.HGilbert (talk) 10:56, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
