For once Latte and Dumezil agree that god Volturnus and his flamen were related to the hot SE wind, not with the river. The date of his festival Aug. 27 is proof that he was worshipped in order to avert damage to ripening grapes.Aldrasto (talk) 09:18, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
