Date of birth[edit]

Does anyone know the source of "April 17, 1894", which appears as her date of birth? It is unsourced in the article. In contrast, A Biographical Dictionary of Silent Film Western Actors and Actresses shows her being born "in 1893". That source also says, "Vivian Reed was born in Chicago, Illinois", where this article has the unsourced "Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania".

In most situations I would change the content and add citations to the book. In this case, however, "born 1894" is part of the title. If the year of birth is changed in the article, that will necessitate a move to change the title. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:05, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Her birthdate is actually correct in this article (April 17, 1894, not 1893 as one source states); 1894 can be confirmed by multiple sources (U.S. Social Security Administration application and death records, California Death Index, etc.). Her place of birth, however, was incorrect. She was born in Chicago, not Pittsburgh. A newspaper article tipped me off to that data, and it is confirmed by other news articles, as well as the California Death Index and the U.S. Social Security Death Index.
