Wow, I am very impressed by the depth of your research on this topic and think that your draft is both well-written and well-organized. Here are a few points to consider as you revise:

  • better to use mystery rather than mysterious (mystery cult is a specific term)?
  • proofread to fix mechanical errors so that, for example,

The mithraic temple is located in the southwestern region Tienen, on the edge of the towns border. becomes The Mithraic(needs cap.) temple is located in the southwestern region (missing an "of"?)Tienen, on the edge of the town's (needs possessive) border.

  • are there any images you can add?
  • are the Archeological remains connected with the Mithraeum or part of the overall excavation? The most abundant animals don't seem to be associated w Mithras

Please touch base with any questions!

I will fix these mechanical mistakes as well as the specifics of the temples remains vs the whole excavation. Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the images, I haven't been able to find any useful images from the recommended search site by wikipedia. Should I use an image of any mithraeum for reference even though its not the Tienen one? Or maybe just an image of its location? Im not sure so please give me so advice as what would be better.

Thank you so much! Catchumall (talk) 21:30, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review[edit]

Thank you for your work on the article speaking about the Mithraeum. If you need more pictures the link that goes to Mithraneum (in the first paragraph) has an interesting generic one. Meaning probably not Tienen. Your work showed me where I am able to improve my work, Thank you! Crowlady1957 (talk) 01:03, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! You've done a really great job on your article so far. You've obviously put in a lot of research and your article is anchored by concrete facts that are really interesting to read, such as your description of the structure of the temple. It's minor, but I would consider revising your last sentence as it doesn't read very clearly. Perhaps you could instead say something like "Scholars have studied the ruins of this temple in order to better understand Mithraism, as limited evidence of the mysterious religion survives. From Prof McClanan, 12/3[edit]

Quick note: I'm not seeing the Unit 2 Editing an entry assignment, so email me if it's posted somewhere and I'm overlooking it (not a big deal if you didn't do it, it's only worth 1 pt) Sorry, I'm just seeing the photo query now--any luck since 11/27 finding images? I just contacted Marleen Martens through Academia.edu to see if on the off chance she might be willing to give us some to use, will follow up with you if/as soon as I hear from her. Feedback from Prof McClanan, 12/7[edit]

Great to see your entry up on the site now, and I added a link to it from the Mithraeum page so it's no longer an orphan.
