summary[edit]

All the other "why we fight films" have a plot synopsis, has anyone who has ever seen this able to add one? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.195.66.77 (talk) 22:38, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Allegations of Anti-Polish Bias[edit]

This section is completely ludicrous. The film mentions Poland once, when it says that Britain did not make the same mistakes as the "low countries and Poland" by bunching aircraft. Poland is not even singled out, and in any case this simply means that the British learned from earlier events. Yes, Polish volunteers are not mentioned, but neither are Free French, Canadians, Czechs or any of the other non-Brits who supplemented the RAF. None of this is specifically "Anti-Polish" by any stretch of the imagination. This episode was about the British. The Poles are praised for their "wall of courage" in Part 2 of Why We Fight. Yes, the fact that the Poles were outmanouvered and outgunned is portrayed, but they were weren't they? As for the Russian occupation, that's described in the same episode, so it's not evaded at all. Of course its portrayed from a pro-Russian pov. It was in the middle of the war, in which Russians were dying in their millions, for frigg's sake. It's irrational to blame Americans for ignorance in 1943 of the secret protocols of the Nazi-Soviet Pact. Paul B (talk) 00:07, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
