Talk:Terminate (software)

I came here looking for information about the very public spat over ownership of this program between Bo and I think it was a Dr smith... Does anyone have any information about this, perhaps to put into a 'controversy' section?

You are thinking of Dr. George Collins, Intershop, Isle of Sark, who I believe hired RIT Labs in the xUSSR to write "Terminate" (which was an entirely different program from Bo's software, actually, based heavily on RIT Labs' DOS Navigator file manager, but had a similar version and appearance to the "real" Terminate). From what I remember GC claimed BB had sold him the rights to something or other, BB claims he never signed, etc. The software was at some point renamed to the equally laughable "Terminator 2". Version 2.04e was the last ever release. He was trying to drum up money for a Windows and OS/2 version ("Project CAIN") that never came into existence. He and Bo had a very public feud (and each program came with a text file accusing the other of various things). Stlpaul (talk) 05:13, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
