Not correct[edit]

The first reference is not really properly formatted.....it links to a web page, which contains an abstract for an article. There's a link to the article on that web page.........that's really the "best" reference......that one should be used............. considering that a link to a page with an abstract is too derivative. I'm not in the mood to mess with it right now, though.Bddmagic (talk) 00:44, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

this page read like an advertisement[edit]

while it does describe telepsychiatry in general it focuses on a particular provider f the service saying it is only one of two HIPAA complaint services, and then the body of the article provides a direct link to it's page. this should not be the case. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slippy007 (talkcontribs) 16:57, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject tag[edit]

I'm designating this article to be of interest to Wikiproject:Medicine, especially the Psychiatry task force, and rating it as quality C, low importance to medicine in general, medium importance to psychiatry. Bryanrutherford0 (talk) 21:42, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Telemental health[edit]

These appear to be the same subject, under different names. WhatamIdoing (talk) 01:08, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Definitely refers to the same subject matter. I can get started with moving any helpful material over next week. I, JethroBT drop me a line 01:15, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • agree that merge is needed, oppose this target - psychiatry is more about prescribing relevant drugs. Delivering psychotherapy over the phone or via a website is something different. We have an article for Telephone counseling and another for Online counseling. Another relevant term is "computer-assisted psychotherapy" - refs for that are Computer-Assisted Psychotherapy December 01, 2008 Jesse H. Wright, Psychiatric Times. and Carroll KM, Rounsaville BJ. "Computer-assisted therapy in psychiatry: be brave-it's a new world". Curr Psychiatry Rep. 12: 426–32. doi:10.1007/s11920-010-0146-2. PMC 2967758. PMID 20683681.. There was no content in that article sourced to an RS or a MEDRS. I have redirected to Psychotherapy added sourced content there from the ref above. Jytdog (talk) 21:37, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
