Sue Donaldson on veganism[edit]

There is a letter signed by a Sue Donaldson describing herself as a "cheagan" [1]. Is this the same Sue Donaldson?

A further look at this, I have not seen any indication anywhere that Sue Donaldson has described herself as a vegan. These reviews do not seem to note it [2], [3], [4], the latter review has a line which says Donaldson holds a view "why not use the surplus eggs produced by the friendly neighborhood citizen-hens to feed the cats?".

Page 10 of "In Defence of Backyard Chickens" quotes some material from Donaldson but it looks like she doesn't oppose people collecting eggs from backyard chickens. [5]. I could be wrong about this but it is hard to pin down her views on her own diet.

I believe we need good sourcing to describe someone as a vegan or a "vegan activist". I am not seeing any sources here so we shouldn't be using the "vegan activist" category. Psychologist Guy (talk) 11:06, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
