Greigite?[edit]

Can someone explain why Greigite is in the list, while according to the chemical formula it's a Sulfide? --Zom-B (talk) 16:48, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Right, it's actually a Thiospinel, and I intend to get it out of here. J S Ayer (talk) 22:10, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Most Important member?[edit]

The article states that magnetite is the most important member of the spinel group. Can this be quantified, or is it someone's feeling? If it can't be objectively demonstrated, perhaps we should say that it is the most abundant member of the spinel group. J S Ayer (talk) 02:24, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vanadium series?[edit]

I notice at mindat.org the existence of Coulsonite (FeV2O4) and Magnesiocoulsonite (MgV2O4), conforming to the general formula but with vanadium as the trivalent cation; can we infer the existence of a vanadium series? J S Ayer (talk) 19:29, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please correct the misprint in (1-ε, 1/2,-ε 1/4+ε) + ((i+j)/2, (j+k)/2, (i+k)/2) the corrected version is (1-ε, 1/2-ε, 1/4+ε) + ((i+j)/2, (j+k)/2, (i+k)/2) Rutebir (talk) 10:46, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
