Uses[edit]

I assume these were used by garage bands for practice and fooling around? Any professional music produced with them? 2fort5r (talk) 02:26, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hard to tell. I saw someone writing that his punk band used the SpecDrum as they didn't have a drummer, but no reliable source to that and I don't know if that really qualifies as "professional music". After some googling I also found this. // Liftarn (talk) 09:12, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I found some more.[1] Nigel Powell used it with The Illiterate Hands (consisting of Matt Hawkesworth (guitars), Jonny Greenwood (keyboards, harmonica), Andy Yorke (vocals), Simon Newton (bass))[2], The Hatchetmen used it[3] and The Feline Dream[4] and a few more[5]. // Liftarn (talk)

Amdrum[edit]

There seem to be a similar device for the Amstrad called Amdrum. // Liftarn (talk)

Alan's additions[edit]

I've reverted the recenbt additions from Alan as they fall into the COI area. It's not such a big deal given the age of the product, but even so - a few things need to be clarified here first before the additions can be made. I checked the website, and it's pretty sparse, not much help there.

Alan - can you clarify what's the latest version of SpecDrum etc here before adding it in? Thanks. Chaheel Riens (talk) 19:04, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
