Gustatory rhinitis[edit]

Gustatory rhinitis has nothing to do with sneezing. It is a "runny nose" upon eating certain foods. The subject needs its own article. I've removed the reference from this article.Caeruleancentaur (talk) 13:22, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Coined in jest"[edit]

This claim should be sourced. Even if it's true it should be mentioned later in the article under etymology. There are slews of medical web sites using this term with blunt seriousness. It may very well have been originally made up in jest, but it is now widely accepted in all seriousness because it's not a joke. Sneezing while eating makes it very difficult to eat since gasping between sneezing with a full mouth can cause aspiration and can even lead to choking and death. I've no problem with jest being mentioned under origin if it's cited, but it doesn't belong in the lead. 73.69.251.97 (talk) 22:16, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
