Undue focus on the United States[edit]
I've tagged this article with {{Globalize}} and {{POV}} because it has the same problems as the deleted United States hypocrisy article (see the 2022 deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/United States hypocrisy). In fact, the entire "Case study: United States" section is closely paraphrased from the deleted United States hypocrisy article, and it is clear that this Political hypocrisy article has been used to resurrect the contents of the deleted United States hypocrisy article under a different title.
While the first sentence suggests that the article subject applies to any political party, the entire article only criticizes the United States and (to a lesser extent) its allies. Half of the article (the "Case study: United States" section) is a "case study" that addresses only the United States. In contrast, the WP:NOTTEXTBOOK policy specifically states that Wikipedia articles should not read like case studies because they tend to become POV forks. This is indeed the situation here: this article's undue focus on the United States makes it a POV fork of the Criticism of United States foreign policy article, as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/United States hypocrisy points out. — Newslinger talk 06:11, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
Plato[edit]
If we are going back to the greeks I would assume those working in the area are aware of The Republic of Plato Book 3 and "Then if anyone at all is to have the privilege of lying, the rulers of the State should be the persons; and they, in their dealings either with enemies or with their own citizens, may be allowed to lie for the public good.". Given how central Plato is to much of greek philosophy I would expect there to be some coverage.©Geni (talk) 01:10, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
