Copyright violation[edit]

The biography violates the copyright of http://www.ejercito.cl/nuestro_ejercito/heroes_alcazar.php. Note that a translation is also a copyright violation.  Andreas  (T) 18:40, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • The citation you that you mention from the Chilean Army website is only a summary and extract from (among other sources) of the "Estudios Historicos sobre Vicente Benavides y las campañas del sur (1818-1822)" by Diego Barros Arana and the "Historia de Chile" by Claudio Gay. Both originals which can be found in the Memoria Chilena website, if you read Spanish. Both books have also been in the public domain for a long time (Gay died in the 1860's and Barros Arana in 1907.) The link with the Army website was also clearly indicated. I think you should do a bit more research before you bandy around words such as copyright violation. --Mel Romero (talk) 22:59, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
