Relationship to DejaVu Sans[edit]

I can't find any relationship between OpenDyslexic and DejaVu Sans besides the one shared on Wikipedia by one user and copied to elsewhere around the web, initially as it resembles DejaVu Sans, and then later that it was modeled after DejaVu Sans. A web search for `"OpenDyslexic" "DejaVu Sans"` from before these edits reveals no sources other than a font lists.

OpenDyslexic's official website has an FAQ page about it's relationship to other fonts and instead says it was based off of BitStream Vera Sans. It isn't about speed[edit]

Are there any studies about comprehension? All of the information cited here so far relates to speed. But there is more to reading than just speed. Hires an editor (talk) 18:46, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

On the opensourceness of the font[edit]

I don't know if it is enough for a citation, but open dyslexic themself say their font is under sil-ofl which the open source initiative think is an open source lisence. Heartbrrrrr (talk) 10:22, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
