Explanation for removal of date of birth[edit]

WP:DOB states, "Wikipedia includes dates of birth for some well-known persons where [...] the persons do not object to their release. [...] if the subject complains, err on the side of caution and simply list the year." The subject of this article has objected to the listing of the day and month in this Wikipedia article; see http://nickbroomfield.com/page.html which states, "I, Nick Broomfield, wish for only my year of birth to be listed in my Wikipedia article." Therefore, only the year of birth is listed in this article. --Geniac (talk) 01:42, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Archive.org now has a copy of the page mentioned above, at https://web.archive.org/web/20110823070256/http://nickbroomfield.com/page.html, and none of the authority control data links give a full date of birth. -- Geniac (talk) 18:03, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Geniac -- Apologies. I was unaware of Mr. Broomfield's wishes. Happy New Year. 107.122.161.51 (talk) 06:03, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

slurred speech[edit]

Why does he talk like that? Is he drunk all the time? Iantnm (talk) 22:28, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

California State Bar Award[edit]

I deleted the reference for the California State Bar Award. The current version of the source does not mention the award. An earlier version [1] implies that this information may have been sourced from WP--circularity. So this needs a better source. Logical Cowboy (talk) 05:01, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
