THIS ISN'T THIRD TIME SOUTH PARK HAS HAD NUDITY[edit]

There was nudity in other South Park episodes like South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut Kenny was flying up to heaven to see naked women. That was in the movie twice. And in Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants, Cartman pulls dow Osama's pants to show his penis. There's dozens others too.

External links[edit]

I removed that from the page for now. Should we really have warez on Wikipedia?--Roofus 00:46, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there should be nannying, but since there isn't an official source (is there?) advocating any single torrent isn't really relevant to the article in any way any more than a link to some store selling the dvd. People can go find their own sources as usual. blades (talk) 14:58, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kyle's digital Photo[edit]

Does anybody who is in the photo Kyle has of his black self? It looks like a pic of someone famous, but I have no idea who. JQF 01:55, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i was wondering the exact same thing. maybe it's just anyone's picture and the creator's were hoping that everyone would wonder. 193.171.131.242 10:55, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inherent Transphobia in Plot[edit]

This section is POV (much like the similar section in the main South Park page).

I agree[edit]

I agree. We should probably start by fixing pronoun usage.  :~MaiyaH78 07:42, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't. Or at least don't start with all the "hir" shit. It is, after all, just a cartoon. I doubt anybody mistakes it for a serious discussion of gender issues. 188.29.164.141 (talk) 05:32, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
We use whatever pronoun the TV show uses. It is not transphobic to do so. — Richard BB 07:39, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Backronym[edit]

This quote seems to be more of a backronym than anything else. Unless we can get citation, it isn't true and should be removed.

  • The facility's name is also abbreviated TMI, possibly suggesting that the vivid description of the procedures performed there might be "Too Much Information".

"Goofs"[edit]

Is the surgery stuff really a goof, per se? Obviously one isn't awake for such surgeries, and it's pretty well known that one has to live as a woman to have a chance at them. Is it really a goof if the creators know about it?

While we're at it, we may as well say that a dolphinplasty isn't a real surgery, eh?

Just a matter of technicality.70.66.9.162 01:49, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Plus, not all doctors require you to live as the opposite gender before performing the operation. Also, as far as I know, trans-race surgery doesn't exist either. --Anarchy_Balsac
Oh come on; Micheal Jackson? ;P Titanium Dragon 01:15, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and moved that comment out from goofs. Danger Pain 21:26, 9 November 2006 (CET)\

When the doctor tells Gerald Brovlofski that he can turn him into a dolphin, he says that he can move the oesophagus to the top of the head. This is, of course, referring to a blow-hole, but the oesophagus is the food pipe. It it the trachea that is the wind pipe and therefore, the one that should move to the top of the head.

this portion should be removed, and i will, as no one watches south park expecting to recieve a lesson in mammalian biology.

Which Trinidad?[edit]

Quoted from the article;

"Mr. Garrison makes several homophobic comments throughout the episode. The fact that he has his surgery performed in the Trinidad Medical Center may be a reference to Trinidad and Tobago's legislation against homosexuality."

Or ... it could be a reference to Trinidad, Colorado, the "Sex Change Capital of the World". Doesn't South Park taeke place in Colorado?

That makes a lot of sense. And I suppose Dr. Biber may be a reference to Stanley Biber. -- Danger Pain 18:27, 10 November 2006 (CET)
Season 9 commentary says that Trinidad was one of few places that did sex-changes when Trey and Matt were growing up, so it did make sense that Garrison went to Trinidad. And yes, South Park takes place in Colorado. - Spyke1077 05:06, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Live Action Shots POV[edit]

I remember hearing that the operation was really an animal getting neutered and not an actual human sex-change operation. Currently, the article seems to mention both with some unnecessary POV, can someone in the know quote the truth/clear this up?

Season 9 commentary confirms that it is actual footage of a sex tape operation. It was originally around 3 minutes long, and they showed the really long version to Comedy Central (who hated it). - Spyke1077 05:04, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Jewfin"?[edit]

I took out stuff about Gerald being Lawfin and "Jewfin". Jewfin was never mentioned anywhere so I got rid of it. seemed kind of offensive or written by someone for a laugh. - Spyke1077 05:09, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought Cartman called him a Jewfin?71.246.76.207 01:53, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Cartman says "He's a Jewish dolphin... A Jewfin." The person at the stadium calls him lawfin. I'd say it was indeed written by someone to be offensive and for a laugh -- the authors. blades (talk) 15:26, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dolphinoplasty...[edit]

Currently the article is worded:

During the talk of Gerald's "dolphinoplasty", the surgeon says it would be possible to move his esophagus to the top of his head. He should've talked about doing that with the trachea instead, since a dolphin's blowhole is used for breathing.

If one watches the episode, the surgeon wants to "invert the back"... This would allow him to bend the right way, and have his "nose" above water while keeping his moved "mouth" at the front. like a dolphin...

I don't think this is actually an error and should not be mentioned...
