Temporarily removing unsourced claim about 650,000,000 Christians[edit]

@Babamarusia: I believe you were the first person to change the lead sentence in the Morris George Cornell Vaagenes article from "Morris George Cornell Vaagenes (1929- ) has been a leader in the national and international Lutheran and Ecumenical Charismatic Renewal movement since 1970." to "Morris George Cornell Vaagenes (1929- ) has been a leader in the national and international Lutheran and Ecumenical Charismatic Renewal movement since 1970, the largest spiritual awakening movement in history with 650,000,000 Christians involved in its transformational power."

I am temporarily removing the latter half of this sentence, as the 650,000,000 figure is unsourced. If anyone can find a source for this figure, please do put it back in the article, but consider rewording the phrasing from "the largest spiritual awakening movement in history with 650,000,000 Christians..." to something more along the lines of "claimed to be the largest spiritual awakening movement in history [by source], with 650,000,000 Christians..." - assuming that the source of the figure makes such a claim. Currently, the use of phrases like 'largest spiritual awakening movement in history' and 'transformational power' without reference to a source violates Wikipedia's policy on Neutral Point of View, which requires that editors "avoid stating opinions as facts" and to prefer a tone which "neither sympathizes with nor disparages its subject". In this case, it is not clear that the Ecumenical Charismatic Renewal movement is the largest spiritual awakening movement in history (given the lack of a source) and the phrasing is sympathetic to the movement.

I looked and could not find a source for this figure. If anyone has a source, please do add it back in to the article. Joe (talk) 05:53, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
