Notability and Name[edit]

First, I goofed when I created the article. Despite her many names, she is most often know in Hainlein references as "Maureen Johnson." Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix the article to that name.

Secondly, in the Heinlein "Lazarus Long" cycle, she is second-most important character and the only one which Heinlein devoted an entire fictional "memoir" to. Perhaps this can be explained as the article is expanded (I'm hoping more Heinlein fans will add to it; else, I will).

Third, how can you add references to a fictional character other than by stating what novels they come from? The "notability" template I can understand, the "unreferenced" template is beyond loopy. Sir Rhosis 02:43, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved the article to the name I think makes the most sense given the existence of an article for a different Maureen Johnson. As to the unreferenced template, I'd suggest more specific citations would be appropriate if you're using the books as references and that the "primarysources" template would then apply. I'd suggest references to literary criticism would be preferable. I can't really help with the explanation you speak of because I'm not familiar with the character herself. Many thanks for your help and suggestions. I'll work on it in the days to come. Best, Sir Rhosis 02:59, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Sailbeyond.jpg[edit]

Image:Sailbeyond.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
