Punctuation changes[edit]

Hi Chris the speller, you recently made a small edit on this article, replacing many hyphens with en dashes. Why did you make those changes? Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 13:56, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia's Manual of Style (MOS:DASH) under the heading "To separate parts of an item in a list", which recommends a spaced en dash for this use. En dashes are also used to mark divisions within a sentence. Spaced hyphens are seldom needed in Wikipedia, and such use is generally used to indicate subtraction.
