Vague Comment about film with mathematician in[edit]

Didn't Jurrasic Park have a chaos theorist in it, played by Jeff Goldblume was it? If anyone would like to check. 222.152.22.223 13:48, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Physics is not Mathematics[edit]

Mathematics is used in Physics, and there are certainly people versed in both disciplines, but Albert Einstein would have been the first to tell you that he was not a mathematician.

His prowess at solving differential equations certainly suggests that he could have become a serious mathematician had his interests lain in that direction, but that was not the path he chose. Instead, he relied on several major mathematicians to whom he had ready access. Although my orientation is towards Mathematics, his contributions to Physics were so significant that I cannot regret his choices. Shmuel (Seymour J.) @Chatul: If you read the introduction, mathematical scientists qualify as well (as applied mathematicians, if you will). Nerd271 (talk) 15:45, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
