WeegeeTheDoggo, can you explain why you object to a merger of this material to List of citrus fruits? Seems to me that people intereste din one will be interested in the other and vice versa; if closely related content can be kept in one place, it is generally suggested that this be done. The cultivar list is also unlikely to become so large as to require a separate article for size reasons. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 01:07, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Elmidae, there are multiple reasons I object to this merger. One reason is because it doesn't fit in well with the List of citrus fruits article, as there are no other cultivar lists like it on that article. Another reason is that a cultivar is just a plant with a slight difference from the base species, not different or widely known enough to be a variety or subspecies, and cultivated by farmers and gardeners all over the world, and so there could be many of them yet to be catalogued, hence they need a list all to themselves. The last reason is that I've made the act of getting to the cultivar list articles easily accessible from the List of culinary fruits, so that one can be directed to a list of cultivars corresponding to each fruit. --WeegeeTheDoggo (talk) 02:03, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
WeegeeTheDoggo - I see there appears to be a concerted effort underway to make standalone lists for all of the main fruit, wasn't aware of that. I guess you have precedent on your side :) I'll go ahead and revert (but I hope we can be mindful of further comments, if there are any).
