Revision[edit]

Many names were suffixed with (geslacht) which simply means "[patrician] family", so I have removed it. For example, the first name was "Van der Aa (geslacht)", unlinked. The Dutch article about the van der Aa family (rather than the list of people with surname van der Aa) is nl:Van der Aa (geslacht) and a corresponding English article would be "Van der Aa (family)" or "Van der Aa family". It makes no sense for (geslacht) to appear in this English article.

The article marked some names with a † symbol whose meaning was unclear (and is unclear in the Dutch article), so I have removed it.

I have removed red links which were linked only from this article, leaving one which is linked from other articles.

Nederland's Patriciaat is so spelt (not Nederlands).

I haven't yet gone beyond letter A in detailed editing, e.g. putting slashes between family branches, as in the Dutch article, which follows the source.
