Hello, I hope that the author will correct an error on this Wikipage. The connection made between the name of the River Lung and the Luighne people is in error. It misinterprets my referenced paper which accounts for the naming by relating it to the original naming of the "Lung" townland as "Magh na Luinghe" ("Magh Lunga" in Columba's penitential outpost on the Scottish island of Tiree). This translates literally as "Plain of the Cauldrons" after a famous festival which was recorded in poetry and cited as the source of the naming in the Metrical Dindshenchas which is regarded as an authoritative source for ancient place-names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.76.200.190 (talk) 17:09, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
