What are the facts that you are disputing? (Smccullagh (talk) 11:07, 12 July 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Update[edit]

I've altered the bit about "The K.S.C. may be termed a secret society in that meetings are open only to members" as that is not in my view a secret society. If it is then Labour and Conservative parties who also do not allow non memebers into most of their meetings are also secret societies. A secret society is surely a society who's political aims are cloaked and/or where information about the nature of the society is only available to those who have joined and/or has levels of membership where those at the higher level conceal knowledge from those at the lower levels and those at the lower levels know knowledge is concealed from them. The only other criteria I can think of for diagnosing a secret society is that the membership details are concealed to a noticable extent. I do not believe this to be the case. It is not neccessary for members of political parties to reveal their membership if they choose not to and one cannot look up who is a member so this alone does not in my view mean that the KSC should be classed as a secret society. In my personal experience I have not noticed it concealing its membership but I would be interested to hear if anyone has more facts to substantiate these assertions.
